Parker/Fortin LCM #1

Local Name:

Parker/Fortin LCM #1

Depth:

Depth was about 90 feet to the wheelhouse. Bottom must be around 100 feet.

Anchoring:

We anchored on GBR North coral head when we discovered this wreck. We were on scooters. I do not know of a closer shallow point to anchor on at this time. It might be a bit of a swim from GBR North coral head, but anchoring there would mean a deep anchor.

Notes:

This wreck was discovered on 12/3/2005 by Hal Parker and Dave Fortin while exploring north of GBR North coral head. It is about 90 feet to the wheelhouse and perhaps 100 feet to the bottom. The engines were in the wreck. There was a fair amount of growth including some grape coral on the wheelhouse.
