Regal Maru
Local Name:
Regal Maru
Depth:
Depth is less than 15 feet.
Anchoring:
There are a couple nice (and deep) surge channels nearby. Just anchor in/near one of them as you would do for any other dive. The wreck is in some shallow pools of water. You'll have to swim up the surge channel and almost swim on the surface to hop over into the pools where the wreck is found.

Notes:
This wreck was found by Scott Johnson in mid-January 2005. Initial guess is that the ship ran aground on the reef and must have rolled/slid across the reef over the years until it broke apart and setled into the little pools where we find it today. Scott believes that more of the wreck my be further up on the reef. There are a string of little connected pools maybe 10-15 feet deep. The wreck is spread out over several of these pools. There isn't much there except some metal beams, a big metal box (fuel tank?), an engine and a prop blade sticking up out of the sand.
